Welcome to JustLoveCooking — a cozy corner of the internet where recipes are shared from the heart, and every dish is made with love.
I’m Louise Cutler, the cook, writer, and daydreamer behind this website. I started JustLoveCooking as a way to capture and share the recipes that have shaped my life—those passed down through generations, discovered during travels, or born out of late-night cravings and creative kitchen experiments.
How It All Started
Growing up in a small town in Oregon, my earliest memories are tied to the kitchen: the sound of my grandmother’s wooden spoon hitting the side of a mixing bowl, the smell of fresh herbs from my mom’s garden, and the warm chaos of holiday dinners that always ended with full bellies and happy hearts.
I didn’t go to culinary school, but I learned from the best—my family, friends, neighbors, and the many home cooks I’ve met throughout the years. I worked in publishing for nearly a decade before I realized my true passion wasn’t behind a desk—it was behind a stove. So I left the 9-to-5 world, rolled up my sleeves, and started cooking full-time.
What You’ll Find Here
At JustLoveCooking, you’ll find simple, reliable recipes that anyone can make—whether you’re a beginner learning to boil pasta or a seasoned home cook looking for fresh ideas. I focus on:
Comfort food from around the world
Fresh, seasonal ingredients
Family-friendly meals
Sweet treats and simple bakes
Occasional indulgences (because life’s too short!)
Every recipe is tested in my own kitchen, with clear steps and helpful tips. I believe food should be approachable, joyful, and always made with care.
My Philosophy
I believe that cooking doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. A good meal can change your mood, brighten your day, and bring people together. Whether you’re cooking for yourself, your family, or a table full of friends, I hope this site gives you the inspiration to try something new—and maybe even fall in love with cooking a little more.
